Saint Dyfan Monastery Mission

Saint Dyfan Monastery Mission is a mission of Saint Petroc Monastery (Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia) to the University of Tasmania. It is under the omophorion of the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, His Eminence, Metropolitan Hilarion, Archbishop of Sydney.
The mission is part of the monastery's chaplaincy to the university and has the oversight of Fr. Barry. It has been operating since 1999.

Saint Dyfan Monastery Mission worships at 40 Alexander Street, Sandy Bay, with weekday and Sunday services throughout the year using the Western Rite "Sarum Liturgy" and the "English Liturgy" from the Saint Colman Prayer Book. A high percentage of the congregation has a direct connection with the university.

Saint Petroc Monastery has responsibility for Western Rite worship throughout the diocese and for mission to the wider population, Saint Dyfan Mission is part of this initiative.
